PE is committed to its employees and their well being. Therefore, PE provides a comprehensive benefits program. We continually review and update our programs to ensure that they meet the needs of our employees.  Below are some of the benefits available to eligible PE employees.

• Health and Dental Insurance

• UNUM Life Insurance - This plan provides financial protection for your beneficiary(ies) by paying a benefit in the event of your death.  The amount your beneficiary(ies) receive(s) is based on the amount of coverage in effect just prior to the date of your death according to the terms and provisions of the plan.  The premium waiver is 9 months.  Disability-based benefits begin the day after UNUM approves your claim and the elimination period is completed.  The amount of the insurance is $50,000, unless you are over 70 years old.  Other features of this plan include accelerated benefit, conversion, portabilityh and pre-existing: 12/12/24.

• UNUM Short Term Disability  - This plan provides financial protection for you by paying a portion of your income while you are disabled.  The amount you receive is based on the amount you earned before your disability began.  The elimination period is as follows:  0 days for disability due to an injury and 7 days for disability due to a sickness.  Benefits begin the day after the elimination period is completed.  The weekly benefit is 60% of weekly earnings to a maximum of $500 per week.  The maximum period of payment is 13 weeks.  Premimum payments are required for your coverage while you are receiving payments under this plan.  The Short Term Disablity plan does not cover disabilities due to an occupational sickness or injury.

• UNUM Long Term Disability - The plan provides financial protection for you by paying a portion of your income while you are disabled.  The amount you receive is based on the amount you earned before your disability began.  In some cases, you can receive disability payments even if you work while you are disabiled.  The elimination period is the later of: 90 days; or the date your insured Short Term Disability payment ends, if applicable.  Benefits begin the day after the elimination period is completed.  The monthly benefit is 60% of monthly earnings to a maximum benefit of $6,000 per month and the maximum period of pyament is contingent on your age.
